This book is the first place I go when I need to identify a gemstone or crystal. The pictures are very true to life and it is easy to find what you are looking for. There are 400 pages covering Crystal Formation, Crystal Selection, Crystal Care, Crystal Healing, Crystal Meditation, Crystal Formation, Crystal Decoration, Crystal Shapes, Crystal Directory, Crystal Background, Quick Reference, Index, Glossary, and Useful Information. Over 200 crystals are featured, and hundreds of wonderful color photos are included, generously scattered throughout the entire book. This book has all kinds of extras including entries about crystal protection, crystal attraction, and bringing love into your life.

The text is one of the first available for Crystal Reports 2008, and is a major revision of much of the same material which has been presented in previous editions (which covered earlier versions of Crystal Reports). As you would expect, it does a solid job of covering all the basics. It even goes into intermediate and some advanced details in a few sections. If you are a beginner to Crystal Reports, then the book will be an extremely valuable reference to you. Even if you're an experienced Crystal Reports developer or you have used previous versions of Crystal Reports this book will get a lot of use. If you're familiar with the earlier renditions of this book (i.e., for Crystal Reports XI, etc.), then you will find this rendition similar, but greatly expanded and better organized. The book has been through several major revisions and this is clearly evident in the accessible, intelligible, and organized materials. Chapters that have been particularly strengthened from previous editions include charts and maps; a new chapter on integrating with Flash in compelling. Parameters and report export formats are covered in detail. Especially useful is the section on reporting from proprietary (e.g., non-SQL) data sources, including OLAP cubes and .NET integration. Finally, the concluding Formula Language Reference is encyclopedic and authoritative. At about 1,000 pages, the book is really heavy--but really useful, too.

This crystal book is a must have for those who use cyrstals in a healing practice or just have them around the home or office for protection, cleansing, or prosperity, etc. Cassandra clearly and thoroughly introduces the basics and more of using crystals as they apply to the chakra system, the aura, psychic development, pendulum dowsing, etc. Everything you need to know about the world of crystals is in this book! She explains 150 different crystals for healing, environment, children, history of, divinatory significance, uses at work and home and more! Each crystal description is accompanied by a clear, color picture for identification purposes. The book is sectioned by color of the stone which makes finding information on a particular stone easy. You need to know only the color of a stone and if you do not know the color the easy to read index in the back of the book is complete. I highly recommend this book to beginners and advanced healers alike. As a reference book it is invaluable!
